NOT ALONE IN EUROPE

WHAT IS THIS?

A 6 day train-the-trainer course for youth workers meeting young LGBTQ+ migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in order to make them more confident with intersectional approaches in their work and how to include LGBTQ+ perspectives in their work. The aim of the train-the-trainer course is to enable the participants to implement the “Not alone in Europe” workshops in their own cities.

This will ultimately result in the creation of a network for support and visibility for young LGBTQ+migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. In order to further disseminate the educational tools, a supporting online platform will be established.

WHO?

34 participants from Sweden, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Estonia, Serbia.
General profile: YOU, ARE
– 18 y.old+
– English language fluent
– Active in their organizations
– Able to apply the learning after the TC in Sweden
– Motivated to develop their competences on working with LGBT+ refugees/migrants community
– Committed for implementation multiplier event, but ideally as well further on.

WHEN,WHERE?

From the 23th to 30th October 2019 (23th and 30th are the travel dates). Stockholm, Sweden.
